Dr Yohendran is an ophthalmologist specialising in refractive cataract surgery.

Dr Yohendran graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney Medical School in 2001, where he was awarded the prestigious Claffy Prize in Ophthalmology. Prior to this, he completed a Bachelor of Medical Science degree at the University of Sydney and later earned a Master of Public Health at the University of New South Wales.

After completing ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Dr Yohendran returned to Sydney in 2009. He subsequently completed a Fellowship in comprehensive ophthalmology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, whilst undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery at the University of Sydney. He also completed a twelve-month Fellowship in Glaucoma at Sydney Eye Hospital.

Dr Yohendran is a member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) and the Australasian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He is a highly experienced cataract surgeon and currently ranks among Australia's highest volume cataract surgeons. He has also performed thousands of intravitreal injections for the treatment of macular diseases and is proficient in pterygium and glaucoma surgery.

Passionate about education and training, Dr Yohendran serves as Head of the Ophthalmology Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he helps mentor and train the next generation of ophthalmologists.

Dr Yohendran comes from a family of doctors—both of his parents worked as GPs in Sydney for over forty years, and his wife is also a GP practicing in Cammeray. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his young family and cheering on the Wests Tigers.
