Anaesthesia for eye surgery, paediatric anaesthesia
From a sheep farming background in the deep south of NZ , I was lured to the academic halls of the University of Otago where I studied Zoology for a science degree. After a year of global wandering I returned to the U. of Otago and completed my medical degree. Two years of hospital residency followed by two years as a peripatetic GP locum, mostly in Australia, led to my departure for Plymouth, England and the commencement of anaesthesia training.
My specialist training was completed in Newcastle, Australia where I worked in VMO practice for five years before moving to Sydney in 1995. Here I have been a VMO at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and at numerous private hospitals around the city.
